-Caveat Lector- Much of the symbolism in Revelation is explained in Daniel and other Old Testament books. If read as a whole, the Bible explains (interprets) itself.   The fall of Jerusalem and destruction of the temple was prophesized by Jesus. There are Christians  that feel the great tribulation was the Fall of Jerusalem. Revelation is a very symbolic book. -Caveat Lector- Thanks for confirming my observation so quickly. I imagine it is pretty scary for you when people actually believe the Bible. There are different interpretations of the various events among "fundamentalists" but on one thing all can agree, that there will be a tribulation period during which two thirds of the earth's population will die.
