Start in 1858 when the British East India Company was dissolved, and its functions taken over by the British Government, to run the opium in China. Hong Kong was set up as a base of government operations. Incidentally, that is where George Orwell (nom de plume) was born while his father worked as a civil servant in the opium division. British Intelligence was used as their police force to protect their opium profits. Theodore Roosevelt got the U.S. government involved in the trade by taking over the Philippines and Cuba from Spain. Then the British trained the American intelligence groups. FBI wasn't created until 1913 and CIA not until 1942, but there were predecessors to these agencies. The drugs are run as a syndicate operation, the contractual terms of which are classified secrets of the governments.The "war on drugs" is really a war against competition, to maintain the monopoly of the syndicate. Orwell himself worked for several years in Burma before he wrote his successful novels. He knew the octopus first hand. He knew it was the government drug operation in Burma that funded the "ideals" of Fabian Socialists, which he disclosed as a fascist plan for control. No need to get side-tracked by these false tentacles like "Goldstein" enemies, set up to distract and divert us from the real belly of the beast. The history of the 19th and 20th century shows us what the ideals of Western Democracy is all about. It's the money, stupid. We could not maintain our way of life without black operations that ensure the continuation of this flow.As Kris has shown in his writing, the same syndicate was put in charge at the end of WWII of the Japanese plunder stashed in the Philippines. Naive Mr. Eisenhower was placed in power with funds of which Robert Bernerd Anderson was a trustee, as David Guyatt has shown in his writing. Antony Sutton revealed in his books that the U.S. Government's participation in the syndicate was legally entered into by the creation of the American International Corporation (AIC). That was the framework or infrastructure which put the U.S. in a legal partnership with criminal forces. We really need to research what happened to that corporation, and about how it has evolved into the octopus we see now. My belief is that the profits were reinvested into other corporations with secret books, and that somehow these funds derived from illegal operations are the primary means of funding the government. That was why in 1913 we got the Federal Reserve, the FBI and the IRS--all due to the scheming of Col. House, Sir William Wiseman, et al. The Warburgs were brought in because they had devised the system for the German government. We adopted their framework.So who was closest to the Germans during this critical time? Dulles and then Averell Harriman. And who was Harriman's chief designer? George Herbert Walker, and later Prescott Bush.
