"The Haida Nation and its elected president, Gujaaw, are seeking a
declaration in BC Supreme Court that they hold aboriginal title over
'Haida Gway', also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands."
Also, "...the federal government has denied that the Haida Nation or
descendents ever constituted a 'single unified aboriginal collectivity
capable of holding aboriginal title'".

If the Haida win this in court, they could take a seat in the UN General
Assembly alongside other Pacific Island micro-nations.
