Buddhist monks for sexual abuse of war orphans 10/8/03 "Colombo: Two Buddhist monks and eight other men were arrested on Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing 11 children orphaned by the island's 19-year civil war, an official said. Sioux Falls diocese reports 38 sexual abuse allegations AP 10/8/03 Sioux Falls -"The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls received 38 allegations of abuse against 16 priests between 1950-2003, according to a report released by Bishop Robert Carlson. None of the men accused remain in the ministry, Carlson said. The most recent allegation occurred in 1992, the bishop said. Of the 16 Roman Catholic priests named, nine are dead, four have been removed from the priesthood or are in the process of being removed, and three are in supervised settings or secure facilities.
