Probably, after making a few failed
efforts to engage them in serious discussion, the best course is to
ignore them entirely.
These exchanges have nicely demonstrated
that it is much better to be the target than the source of irrational verbal
abuse and personal attacks. On the net, the attackers will have to live
with the consequences of their words forever.

By the way, I regard any blanket
condemnation and negative stereotyping of entire religious and ethnic groups

and how they've conducted their lives.
As a rule it's a good idea to discourage
this kind of hate speech in discussion forums, unless one wants the forums to
