We (my wife and i) had the same experience.  We listened to many of the
speeches and to commentary following the votes on a local all news radio
station.  The democrats' speeches were cut up on our station just as they were
for you.  They often didn't make sense.  Another stunt our station pulled was
to discuss opposing points by replaying a considerable piece of Livingston on
the matter and then merely paraphrase what the democrats said.  It is
astonishing how the media is so well trained, the propaganda masters do not
even think about it.
