-Caveat Lector- Tom, Thanks for your comments - but did you actually read the article before reacting to it? The US Congress, not me, made a direct connection between the Bush family and Hitler years before I was born. The US Congress seized the Bush family business interests as fronts for the Nazis under the 1942 Trading with the Enemy Act. For a mere 13 years the Bush family directly managed banks and shipping companies solely for the Nazis. The Library of Congress recently sent me a photocopy of the page from the Federal register announcing this seizure of Nazi assets managed by Prescott Bush. There were also frontpage NY media stories about it in 1942 and just a few months ago, CNN, FOX, and the AP all covered it as a historical fact. There are scores of highly detailed and very well sourced books on the Bush-Nazi connection and the President has never once in any way denied it. This all has nothing to do with the "analogy" of GW Bush with Hitler that the Republicans are complaining about. It's a historical fact. As far as the analogy, most of the world plainly sees Bush as a willing puppet of people who are directly influenced by the Nazi ideals of eugenics (which three generations of his family have been high profile proponents of for 70 years) and a Corporate-Fascist police state. Your being of German descent (the single biggest ethnic group in the US) does not connect you to the Nazis. However, if your grandfather, father, uncles and political advisors were all to various degrees Nazi-sympathizers and used money they made financing Hitler to build up your career so you could run for President, then there would be a connection. The Bush family are also longtime business partners with the bin Laden family and with Saddam, which all mainstream media has reported at various times.
