So what does the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) send to their aid? Condoms. "UNFPA recognizes that all refugees and persons in emergency situations have the same vital human rights, including the right to reproductive health, as people in any community," declared UNFPA executive director Nafis Sadik. Yep, that's right. International organiza-tions like the United Nations might not be able to prevent you from being chased out of your home at gunpoint, but it will move heaven and earth to ensure your right to "reproductive services" when it happens. Also on UNFPA's list of goodies are "sexually transmitted disease kits," "complications from abortions kits," "intrauterine devices (IUDs)" and "vacuum extraction equipment," as well as the aforementioned condoms. Nice work, guys. But the U.N. may have really bungled things - because tort lawyers are sure to sue the U.N. on behalf of the Kosovars for distributing IUDs.
