Aghrrrr! I can't take anymore of this dissembling nonsense!! For the chronically clueless. Please read the following very slowly. Move your lips while reading if you must. The term "Weapons of Mass Destruction" is a made up, political P.R. term of artfull propaganda. According to the US Military's specific definition, the ONLY weapon considered militarily a WMD are NUCLEAR WEAPONS. 100 year old mustard gas (used in WWI) and even more advanced neurotoxins like VX, Sarin are poor military battlefield weapons because they are too unpredictable in their application. They are important only because of psychological effect. Modern area battlefield conventional explosive munitions such as those the US has perfected are much more deadly and effective. Mass civilian terror techniques loved by the US military such as 'pinpoint' laser guided bombing of critical civilian infrastructure (electrical, water purification and sewerage plants) are much more deadly to innocent civilians. The fantastical conventional wisdom purveyors would be quite funny with their 2 step dance of silly information if the consequences were not so deadly. Please get this straight once and for all. Iraq was NEVER a "threat" to the US. It was a broken down 4th world place with a tattered military and broken economy (thanks to US economic sanctions that killed approximately 1 million civilians over the years). Any poison gas or bacterialogical programs or weapons the Iraqis might have had at one time were relatively primitive and the Iraqis only acquired them thanks to the transfer of chemical weapon precursors and bacteriological agents happily shipped to Saddam by Reagan and Bush the Elder, along with many billions in "development loans." Bush and his puppy Blair NEVER considered Saddam an "imminent" threat. The "threat" was fabricated from the most unreliable and discredited psuedo-intelligence, half baked rumors, and intentionally planted re-manufactured misinformation. Of course stating the above is a waste of time.
