Subject: [LOGES-DE-CORBEAUX] [BCPOLITICS] Mindsight Neurochip? (fwd)

The UBC professor's comments indicate that the precognitive abilities
which he purports to be measuring (in the visual modality) are
physiological in origin. Ergo, why not a mindsight neurochip? Would a
robot with a small amount of human nervous system tissue be human? That is
what we are told of the status for the fictional character "Robot Head" in
the UK TV series, Lexx. Does Robot Head's unquenchable erotomania make
"it"? human?

Re your program last night on Professor Ron Rensick's "mindsight"
project. He says he is 99.97% sure that he is measuring precognition in
the psych labs of UBC. That being so, he can claim James Randi's
$1,000,000 and use the funds to develop a neurochip for software carrying
the object recognition programming of Professor David G. Lowe at UBC in
the computing science department. Precognitive ability could be very
useful to the R4P we will develop and market to the Americans. "Export
Canada" to counter the Lou Dobbs "Export America" theme. They don't call
us "Super ... Natural, BC" for nothing eh?

According to <http://www.gov.bc.ca> some 3/4 of British Columbians were Internet users
by 2001. In 5 years or so, the new EDD, "Electronic Direct Democracy" will be fully
developed and the CITIZENS' PARLIAMENT will hold the reins of power daily over the
Victoria Parliament. The 1996 Recall and Initiative Act enables CITIZENS to recall
even the Premier.
