I am again amazed at what "outrages" Americans,
and what does not "outrage" them. There have been
numerous news stories about the "heads that are going
to roll" because of the reported abuse of Iraqi
prisoners.
No doubt some head will roll.
But not a single head has rolled in the aftermath of
911. It was the greatest failure of the government in
U.S. history to protect the American People on their
home soil, and in more than 2 and one-half years since
then.....not a single head has rolled.
No one was fired.
No one was demoted.
No one was even reprimanded.
At Waco in 1993, the FBI burned a church to the ground
with the Branch Davidians still inside.
17 innocent children were killed in that fire,
and not a single head rolled after that monstrous
atrocity.
But now, because Iraqi prisoners were humiliated,
many Americans....and especially the alleged news
media are demanding that heads must roll.
As Spock would say: "Facinating".
