fwd from L Moss Sharman - Fall River murder convict to go free on parole By AP 5/4/04 "Fall River, Mass. - A former teen prostitute who admitted killing her roommate in 1980 at the behest of her pimp, but has since recanted her gruesome story, has been granted parole and will be released later this month. Robin Marie Murphy, 41, who was convicted in the murder of fellow prostitute Karen Marsden, was to be transferred to a halfway house on May 15, The Herald News of Fall River reported. Murphy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder 22 years ago after telling police she stabbed Marsden to death in a ritualistic slaying.
