Did SWAT teams take too much time to act?

LITTLETON, Colo., April 21 (UPI S) _ Questions are being raised (Wednesday)
about the length of time Denver-area SWAT teams needed to mobilize and
prepare to storm Columbine High School to stop Tuesday's shooting rampage.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Davis said, ``We didn't have any idea
how many assailants (were in the school), where they were...a dead officer
would not be able to help anyone. Next (question).'' Gunfire was heard
inside the school for about an hour after two gunmen launched their
assault. [I have to admit that I thought it odd that everyone listened to
gun fire for an hour before doing anything. As I understand it, they
didn't move into the school until the gun fire stopped...Hilary]

Egypt not option for Kosovo refugees

CAIRO, Egypt, April 21 (UPI S) _ Egyptian Foreign Minister Amre Moussa says
(Wednesday) Egypt will likely not accept any Kosovar refugees, for fear
that a temporary displacement of the ethnic Albanians could turn into a
permanent diaspora. Although a number of Arab countries, including Egypt,
have donated humanitarian assistance, they have been criticized for not
doing more to help fellow Muslims. Not a single Arab country has offered to
take in the refugees, a UNHCR official in Cairo said last week, while
Israel has taken in over 100 refugees. [Doesn't this seem odd that not
ONE Arab nation is taking in fellow Muslins? Hilary]
