--- Begin Message ----Caveat Lector- The minutemen fought and died for the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution had not even been written yet. The Declaration of Independence defines the intent of our revolution as no other document can because it is the original document of our freedom. It is the law of the land and the Constitution is an extention of it, not a replacement of it.The rights listed in the Declaration of Independence are not listed in the Constitution because the Constitution is an extension of it, it would be redundant. The public fool system does not teach the implications of the Declaration of Independence, the federalist or anti federalist papers because the corporation known as the federal government does not want you to know the truth. The Constitution created the corporation known as the federal government, limited it's powers and even divided it into three branches to ensure a balance of power, little did the framers realize that the corporations would just circumvent this by buying all three branches of the government. The systematic destruction of the constitutional republic began in 1861 when Lincoln and the congress gave the railroads millions of acres of indian and public land. The railroads had bought Lincoln, the supreme court and the congress. Other corporations, (banking, oil, steel, arms manufacturers, mining interests and sugar) soon followed suit and the government was transferred from the people to the corporations. The states could not be allowed the fredom that they had previously enjoyed as it would interfere with the corporate control. The civil war was not fought over slavery, it was fought over states rights. Lincoln did not "free" the slaves until 1863, and then only slaves in territory that he did not control. Lincoln used the war as an excuse to curtail civil liberties (at the behest of his corporate bosses) in order to control the dissent of a very unpopular war. The corporations began systematically buying up the newspapers to portray the war as being over slavery and popular with the people. With the federal government under control and the states subdued by the war the corporations could use federal money to reward states that were compliant and punish those that were not. The oligarchy was firmly in control. Wars could now be waged to line the pockets of the wealthy families, against the wishes of the common man. Freedom is a myth that most americans embrace because the public fool (school) system is designed by the corporations, for the corporations, to keep americans too stupid to see the truth. The well regulated militia called for in the Constitution is the military and they are not employees of the federal government, they are employed by the people to preserve the Constitution. The corporation would have you believe that we are a private army of the corporation. The rights and duties of the militia are clearly stated in our oath, we are the defenders of the Constitution, even if the enemy is our own government, and it clearly is. The reason that I believe that we are the enforcement arm of the Constitution is in the Declaration of Independence. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. The only way that the people could abolish the government would be if they controlled the militia. Since we all have taken the oath to defend the Constitution, and are duty bound to honor that oath, it is incumbent upon us know not only the cold hard written words of the Constitution but the intent of the framers. The framers were prolific writers and they are very clear about their intent in letters to each other and the press, and soon I will begin to download these documents to the file section for everyone. We must remain aloof from party politics, religious influences or even personal opinions, instead concentrating on the Constitution itself and it's importance in maintaining liberty. Not everyone will agree on every right or duty but it is not our place to decide which rights or duties we will defend, we agreed to defend the entire document. The concept of maintaining continuity of government during and after an emergency is not a new idea. Although it is a self serving government assault on the Constitution when government employees provides protection of themselves over protection of the people. During the Cold War, Congress established elaborate and rather luxurious survival facilities in the mountains of West Virginia.� Presumably, while the American "common folk" would be incinerated, the privileged could survive and guarantee the continuity of government and civilization based on their own criteria for human survival. It was on this premise that in 1964, the great film Director Stanley Kubrick created the classic "Dr. Strangelove." According to the Washington Post (March 2002), the operation was re-activated after the 11 September attacks.� It is reported to involve officials drawn from all departments, depending on the perceived level of threat (or in the case of Dr. Strangelove... position in government, superior genetics and potential virility for human regeneration). Those taking part, live and work underground for long spells at secret fortified locations on the East Coast. The core group of federal managers would be drawn from the same bureaucratic minions whose self pre-occupation, negligence and apathy caused the deaths of thousands in the World Trade Center. The plan for a shadow government has been implemented now because of heightened fears that Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network might obtain portable nuclear weapons. An unnamed senior official told the Associated Press news agency that while US intelligence had no specific knowledge of such weapons, the risk was great enough to warrant activation of the plan.� Dick Cheney's survival may provide legitimacy for constitutional succession, but he can't run the country by himself. He went on to say that President George W. Bush did not foresee ever needing to turn over government functions to the secret operation, but believed it was prudent to put the plan into action in the light of the war against terrorism and persistent threats of future attacks. Other officials, who spoke to the Washington Post newspaper, said the back-up government consisted of anything from 70 to 150 people at two principal locations on the East Coast.� They are suspected to be living and working in heavily fortified mountain bunkers, carved out under Pennsylvania's Raven Rock Mountain and Weather Mountain in Virginia during the Cold War in the 1950s. These underground cities are home to government officials who rotate through on three-month stints.� Their identities and even their titles are kept secret. As with all budding bureaucracies, it is not unreasonable to assume that this number will increase, as will the funding and lavishness of accommodations. Once activated for what some call "bunker duty", they live and work underground 24 hours a day, away from their families.� No formal mention was made relative to having families join them as accommodations grow larger. Those deployed for the operation are not allowed to tell anyone where they are going or why. "They're on a 'business trip', that's all," one official was quoted as saying. Although it does not identify the exact location of these sites, the Washington Post says they make use of geological features to render them highly secure. They are well stocked with food, water, medicine and other supplies and are capable of generating their own power.� There are video links, computers and other connections to the unprotected and totally vulnerable civilian populace. The newspaper said that only the executive branch is represented in the full-time shadow administration. Other branches - such as Congress and the judiciary - have separate continuity plans. The Bush administration is following a script that was maintained during every administration, up through the Clinton years.� But at the Pentagon, at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and at the new Office of Homeland Security (Now being elevated to a 170,000 strong super Agency), officials have been busy updating those plans, particularly the way they relate to using the military as a kind of domestic national police for "continuity of government."� For those unaware of fed-speak, this means the protecting of elected officials and bureaucrats from the rest of us, who are viewed as the potential enemy. Many people feel that the Posse Comitatus act of 1878, might protect them from a police state combining the military and civil law enforcement, with heavy managerial input by the US Department of Justice.� But laws are already on the books authorizing martial law, including Section 32CFR 501.4** of the Code of Federal Regulations.� These are the rules written by unelected bureaucrats that govern our lives. In broad based terms, the CFR simply states: "Martial law depends for its justification upon public necessity." And let us not forget that vast emergency federal powers by decree dates at least to John Kennedy, who issued a raft of such orders during the Cold War.� You can read recent Executive Orders and look up the topics of all modern Executive Orders by going to http://www.archives.gov/search/index.html National Archives and Records. With constitutional government "temporarily" placed in the garbage heap, the American people would be subject to direct control by unelected bureaucrats scrambling to shore up a jack boot heel on the dreams of our Founding Fathers. �Federal Workers Get Terrorist Evacuation Plan - The Rest of America Can Go to Hell In a bipartisan attempt aimed at shielding the federal bureaucracy from danger, the Bush administration has reportedly approved a safety evacuation plan for saving the nation's more than 2 million federal workers within 15 minutes. According to today's edition of the Washington Post, upon confirmation of a threat, the Office of Personnel Management, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and General Services Administration may release up to 350,000 federal workers in the Washington area and 1.8 million nationwide. Directors of the three agencies could alert the White House, local officials and regional emergency managers within minutes, the Post said. Presumably, the American taxpayers who fund these agencies' federal employees will be afforded an "after the fact" warning and be left to fend for themselves. The plan, prompted by confusion during the Sept. 11 attacks, is intended to allow for an orderly evacuation, the newspaper said. The procedures have been months in development and were presented to local government officials this summer. No explanation was given why the life of a federal employee is worth more than anyone else. And while the rest of the American people might face hardship, starvation and death under Martial Law, federal bureaucrats will continue receiving full salaries, medical care, lavish pension funding and guaranteed jobs. The three agencies have set up new 24-hour operation centers, which are in constant contact with federal, state and local law enforcement, the Post said. Some government officials have been assigned cellular or satellite phones or other wireless devices along with emergency call lists. Scott Hatch, a spokesman for the Office of Personnel Management, told the Post the plan is designed to begin the evacuation within 15 minutes. � 40 Years of Executive Orders Trashes Our Constitutional Guarantee of Liberty A Presidential Executive Order, whether Constitutional or not, becomes law simply by its publication in the Federal Registry.� Congress is bypassed. Here are just a few Executive Orders that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders� could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen. It should be noted that over time, some of the following Executive Orders have been rescinded or replaced by others.� But the true terror to our liberty rests with the ease in which they can be issued and how earlier orders are frequently replaced by those of a more draconian nature: * EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources and farms. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 12148 created the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that is to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An "emergency czar" was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies, the bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic. * EXECUTIVE ORDER 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and granted the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry. Many of the figures in the Iran-Contra scandal were part of this emergency contingent, including Marine Colonel Oliver North. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA's Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA's role as a "new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis." The Violent Crime Control Act of 1991 provides additional powers to the President of the United States, allowing the suspension of the Constitution and Constitutional rights of Americans during a "drug crisis". It provides for the construction of detention camps, seizure of property, and military control of populated areas. When the Constitution of the United States was framed it placed the exclusive legislative authority in the hands of Congress and with the President. Article I, Section 1 of the United States Constitution is concise in its language, "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives." That is no longer true. The Bill of Rights protected Americans against loss of freedoms. That is no longer true. The Constitution provided for a balanced separation of powers. That is no longer applicable. Perhaps it can be summed up succinctly in the words of conservative activist Howard J. Ruff. "Since the enactment of Executive Order 11490, the only thing standing between us and dictatorship is the good character of the President, and the lack of a crisis severe enough that the public would stand still for it." One thing that all enlisted personnel know for certain is that policy does not originate at the bottom of the chain of command, it comes down from the top. We know that these soldiers had not only the right but the duty to disobey unlawful orders, but in the closed society of military life we all are painfully aware of the cost if we do so. We must support our enlisted soldiers by insisting that the amount of punishment increases exponentially as it rises up through the chain of command, no matter how high it goes. With increased rank and privilege there should also be an increased level of responsibility. We are expected to pay the highest price on the battlefield but it is unfair to demand that the enlisted should become the scapegoats on the political battlefields as well. Ultimately the buck stops at the top. Since all Americans are our boss under the Constitution, (as long as they adhere to it anyway) perhaps a civilian investigation would get us to the truth. It would bypass the military whitewash machine that we all know so well. The reason that I believe that it goes clear up to the top is the example set by the president when he was Govenor of Texas. He refuse to issue a stay of execution for a man that had been proven innocent by DNA testing, an innocent man was murdered by the governor. Everyone in the chain of command knew of his opinion on the value of innocent human life. Some of the framers were christians, deists and athiests and wrote into the Constitution Protections for religion and from religion. The president has violated that precept by introducing his fundamentalist christian moral theories about armegeddon into military planning. His calling for a crusade ensured that a billion muslims worldwide would see the war as a jihad. The legal way to handle this megalomaniac is to write in Ron Paul for president. Ron Paul is the only person in congress with a straight down the line voting record that follows the Constitution not only to the letter, but the spirit as well. With such a president we can preserve the freedom that makes this country great. Smedley Butler set the bar of service to country very high, it would shame him if we did not at least try to set it even higher. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses. I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket. There isn't a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its "finger men" to point out enemies, its "muscle men" to destroy enemies, its "brain men" to plan war preparations, and a "Big Boss"� Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism. It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with�everyone in the military service. I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?).� I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested. During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.� Smedley Darlington Butler (1881-1940) blew the whistle on the little- known plot of the title. He was on public television the fall of 1993 in "The Road to Rock Bottom"--Part 2 of The Great Depression series (Blackside production). Near the end it shows Butler in shirtsleeves, urging on 10,000 of the war veterans who had marched to Washington and camped in Anacostia DC. It was July 1932. The Bonus Army asked for early payment of moneys promised for 1945. "Some were the same men who had fought under Smedley Butler in the Spanish-American War, the Philippines campaign, the Boxer Rebellion, ...Caribbean interventions, the Chinese intervention of 1927-8, and World War I" (p 3). Butler, a major general at 48, retired from the Marine Corps in 1931. He had faced gunfire 120 times. Columnist Will Rogers wrote of Butler, "He is what I would call a natural born warrior. He will fight anybody, any time....He carries every medal we ever gave out. He has two Congressional Medals of Honor....You give him another war and he will get him another one....I do admire him". Why would a cabal of capitalists--conspirators of enormous wealth-- approach such a man? Because they knew veterans revered him; he never ordered anything done he would not do himself. Grunts, noncoms, and combat officers believed Butler was their friend. Forty times, envoys of Wall Street tried to persuade him to lead a coup d'etat. The instigators wanted a putsch commander who could mobilize 500,000 soldiers overnight. These would make up a paramilitary force, to take form as the American Liberty League. Its pattern was a French veterans' group, the Croix de Feu. (The backers studied then rejected two other models of veterans' organization that fascists had used in taking power: Mussolini's blackshirts and Hitler's brownshirts.) The reason for the plot was the election of President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), a member of the same ruling circles as the cabal itself. March 5, 1933--the day after his inauguration--FDR embargoed the export of gold and declared a national bank holiday. He told the "Hundred Days Congress" to enact a New Deal into law. In striving against the Depression, FDR awakened hope in the American people, but he appalled bankers and industrialists. Who would pay for this New Deal? The rich feared changes to the US system of finance, a rise in taxes, possibly even (Heaven forbid!) socialism. Rumours of the plot reached Washington, where the Committee on Un- American Activities (CUAA)--was already exposing fascist intrigues. Its cochairmen were John McCormack (D MA) and Samuel Dickstein (D NY). CUAA got in touch with Smedley Butler: did the general have anything to tell them? After prying out all the plans he could, Butler asked a friend, an experienced newsman, to confirm the whole incredible scheme. The reporter visited twice with an agent of the conspirators (a wounded Marine vet) and set down his findings. Secret executive hearings of CUAA opened November 20, 1934. Sworn testimony showed that the plotters represented notable families --Rockefeller, Mellon, Pew, Pitcairn, Hutton; and great enterprises-- Morgan, Dupont, Remington, Anaconda, Bethlehem, Goodyear, GMC, Swift, Sun.... Some people named as plotters laughed, all denied everything. "The reader who wishes to examine the official testimony is referred to the government report, `Investigation of Nazi Propaganda Activities and Investigation of Certain Other Propaganda Activities: Public Hearings Before the Special Committee on Un-American Activities, House of Representatives, Seventy-third Congress, Second Session, at Washington, DC, December 29, 1934. Hearings No. 73-D.C.-6, Part 1.' Extracts of the censored testimony are revealed in the books A MAN IN HIS TIME, by John L. Spivak [NY: Horizon Press, 1967], and ONE THOUSAND AMERICANS, by George Seldes [NY: Boni & Gaer, 1947]" (p 140). "The conspiracy unquestionably inspired the novel SEVEN DAYS IN MAY..." The american people hire us to protect the Constitution, it is not good enough to say after we fail that "We did not know", it is our duty to know and not to fail.
