Each one had his moments of sadness, moments of (B (B (Jjoy and moments of love. (B (B (J (B (B (JThe survey teams were from the local areas: I made sure (B (B (Jto create groups that reflected the ethnical, religious (B (B (Jand gender ratios of the targeted regions. And I (B (B (Jdesigned the survey form, all of which relied on my (B (B (Jscientific background I gained from my M.Sc. (B (B (Jresearches, and relied on the very cooperative spirits (B (B (Jof the volunteers and of the Iraqi families. We (B (B (Jpreferred not to include the military casualties to (B (B (Jgive our survey a civilian perspective. (B (B (J (B (B (JCivilian: anyone killed outside the battlefield, even (B (B (Jif his original job was military (e.g. a soldier killed (B (B (Jin his house is a civilian).
