E. Murray ____________________________________________ DOUBLE DUTY ABR, Judith. 2004. "Double Duty: Rock Star Celebrities Risk Everything for Money with Look-Alikes." Internet: CTRL, MFHR. Consider the possibilities that hoards of celebrities and even common folks may be using twin doubles during the routines of their normal lives as a common recipe for modern survival living. It was the celebrated conspiracy writer and radio host, Mae Brussell who first brought up this possibility during her articles on the Patty Hearst kidnapping when she stated, without further explanation, that someone was using a Hearst "double" look alike in the 1974 incident. Brussell's insider information was no double accurate and based upon her Jewish contacts or affiliations with the CIA. Brussell was, after all, herself a secular Jew. The whole notion of look alikes, of course has given rise to spates of highly popular speculative magazines such as National Enquirer, People, What is missing in this equation is another possibility altogether if the celebrities are using convincing doubles for public appearances, a fact the magazines and public are not openly stating, even if they are in doubt about it. This might account for the countless misconceptions and odd photographs which surface and which celebrity's often dispute. While celebs may claim the photos are contrived and unclear, the situation may be something quite different as the use of doubles could be the true reality. The doubles scenario may be too good for celebrity's to pass up financially and there is some evidence that since, their use may have grown exponentially throughout the world of stardom. Take probably the worst offenders to date, rock stars. As much as I love their work, I will take a moment here to give 'em hell, because it has become abundantly clear to me that nearly all the legends are using doubles for their excruciatingly exhaustive concert tours. Look at some of the statistics to date regarding the more active bands: Springsteen's Big Nights in 2003 (mainly between Aug - Sept): 1. Giants Stadium, NJ (10 dates) $36.5 million 2. Shea Stadium, Manhattan (3 dates) #11 million 3. Lincoln Field, Philadelphia (3 dates) $10.3 million 4. Gillette Stadium, MA (2 dates) $7.1 million 5. Fenway Park, Boston (2 dates) 5.4 million These weren't all the dates, mind you, just the very biggest venues which piled up an average of 3.5 million per night. Springsteen charges on the low end of $35 - $115 for each ticket. Rolling Stones tickets can run double this or more, up to $350 (at one private venue in Manhattan during 2003, Stones tickets were found in access of $5,000 each). The statistics are staggering in terms of high finance. The high funding could provide the motive for what rock stars are probably doing these days, using doubles as replacements at most all of these venues. Other bands' who have copped the rags to riches stories include: Highest Grossing Band Tours: 1. Rolling Stones, 1994, $121.2 million 2. Celine Dion, 2003, 145 dates, 80.5 million 3. Springsteen, 2003, $120 million 4. Fleetwood Mac, 2003, 71 dates, 69 million 5. U2, 2001, $109.7 million 6. Simon and Garfunkel, 2003, 39 dates, 64.5 million 7. Pink Floyd, 1994, $102.4 million 8. Dixie Chicks, 2003, 65 dates, 60.5 million 9. Paul McCartney, 2002, 103.3 million 10. Cher, 2003, 102 dates, 68.2 million(1) 11.Bob Dylan, 2004,50 dates/cities in Europe/Eastern U.S. in 70 consecutive days (2) Seven of the above mentioned 11 acts are performers who are at least 55 years of age and who have had 25-40 years of experience playing to multimillion dollar crowds. Some of these rockers, it is estimated, have on record 2,000 - 3,500 concert dates. Consider that they are playing these dates in rapid fire order, as many as 15-20 dates per month for a few months in succession. The concerts are all over the place, throughout the U.S. so performers have to make long plane flights, endure jet lag, time lags, etc. Consider that these performances are complete exhaustion in and of themselves, as the rockers are running back and forth on the stage for literally hours and supposedly singing at the top of their lungs non-stop, even if they did not have to endure the arduous traveling sequences for weeks and months at a time. Even one of these performances could exhaust a 20 year old for days. Opera singers would not consider anything like this schedule as their voices would evaporate, become badly damage quickly. Their schedule includes only a few dates a month, at tops, and their voices at this pace last for probably no longer than fifteen years if they are fortunate. They would need muscle-bound bruisers to do this night after night, to jump back and forth on stage for two - three hours at a stretch, singing at the tops of their lungs at every venue while practicing for a marathon, they are running one day after day. For these rock stars who already have emassed hundreds of millions of dollars in concert ticket prices early on and who consider themselves gods in their own right, this is flat out over kill and hardly something a legend would put himself through over the age of 50 and probably not even at 35. Take Bob Dylan, for example, he is accomplishing massive feats in June and August of 2004 at the older age of 62. During only about ten weeks and 70 days he is visiting supposedly 50 different cities from Kansas to Italy with half of the dates in Europe. In the past Bob's concert tours have been sparse overall, it was not until 2001 that he seemed to come out of the woodwork to take on huge projects such as the 2004 one. The fact of the matter is Bob is probably only going to show up in only a few locations in cities he covets and loves -- like Glasglow Scotland (so cool he can't resist). And he probably will only sing a few opening numbers of brand new songs for crowds he deeply wants to please and be in touch with. While the assumptions with Dylan seem obvious, Springsteen is probably the largest abuser of faked concert set-ups. He has supposedly been doing these fantastic concert schedules year after year since the mid-1980s. No, this is physically and mentally not possible. It is rather amazing how much of the public believes these performers actually show up and pays high prices as stooges. The younger the crowds, the more they probably believe. So how are rock stars and actors (on Broadway especially) able to accomplish Herculean feats of performances year after year, decade after decade? Doubles, replacements, evil twins, dummies in rock star clothing and probably a lot more than one look alike who has had very good plastic surgery. But the doubles acts are the mainstay of these rock groups, they must be individuals of a special caliber, able to withstand the tremendous physical work of not only traveling constantly but able to run a marathon backwards and forwards on the stage itself for hours at a stretch. The legends then probably use more than one double. The most convincing feature of the highest caliber replacements are their voices. This seems to be so well practiced that some of these people are convincing appearing on live television interview shows such as Letterman and Leno. Consider yet another band, REM who in 2003 made 28 concerts in 27 cities in the U.S. from August 29 through October 11 (44 days from start to finish)...and their 2003 Rolling Stone magazine ads showed only the band from the backsides, none of their faces and with very clouded camera shots. Nope...probably none of the original REM showed up for the dates...nope...these were rock star "doubles" is this author's guess and probably few of the audience figured it out, their make-up and raspy loud acoustics the audience never got it. Some people though wondered why the band did not quite seem right -- right height, right face, right builds. From a distance nobody got it. Even actors and Broadway show people appear to be using the double schemes and pre-recorded music. Their songs are piped into the sets, they mimic the soundtrack on stage and it is a professional setup, difficult to tell the real from the fake as the quality of the sound is monitored very closely and special sound equipment with exceptional resonance is used. Actors' voices, even if singing, are piped through mic-speaker equipment, it is an easy step from there to project the pre-recorded audio voices and music into the the theatre. Two people on Broadway now who may be using piped in voicing and actor doubles include Harvey Fierstein (Hairspray) and Christine Chenowith. While Fierstein's apparent replacement is about 200 lbs heavier than his counterpart on television in the "In The Life" show, the difference isn't padding. Fierstein's face is different in both appearances enough to make the point that a double, without audience knowledge, is being used. There seems little doubt with Chenowith's high soprano voice, she is using an audio dub on Broadway and even her character is probably replaced off and on, probably without audience knowledge. Ticket holders are probably not wiser. Make-up is well done. Doubles may be cloned duplicate of their counterparts which recording industry executives and television moguls contract cults to make. Doubles may take a couple of decades to mature into the personalities they mimic and plastic surgery adds to the confusion. A system exists for maintaining and hiding them from the public and even the roadies, groupies. A rule of thumb is that stars and their doubles never appear in the same limo together. This is a big multi-billion dollar business. It brings up questions about why people would go to this extent even so as their reputations are partly on the line and continued public appearances may falter if the public is aware. Speculation might include the stars attempting to fuel the music industry for the future or perhaps personal projects which are private. The use of doubles may be far more common than most people realize. The system may now extend into common people's lives in everyday communities. People may use cults to obtain look alikes for protection, security or to assist with localized problems. It appears that not only celebrities are using doubles now days, common people, cult affiliated, may also be using them for protection and money. Men may be using doubles to cover up their involvement in a number of illegal activities including the porn and drug businesses. Women may be using them for protection and even to hold jobs with good connections and salary. Use of doubles may be tied to big business, the sex-porn trade, the movie-television industry, recording industry, as well as corporate work and even politics. Even your neighbor might be using a double. And the system may also tie into the more horrific snuff video industry underground and internationally. The use of doubles is problematic as it limits people's access to reality and engenders genuine paranoia beyond a reasonable doubt. The use of false idols throws an insanity curve at society. The existence of such a system of cultural subterfuge could signal a ever present danger for those involved in using them. Individual's lives could more easily become expendable and they could be used for disappearance acts. It is a ready-made scene for crimes such as kidnapping and murder, and the usurping of individual wealth. Doubles could be used to replace family members or for inheritance grabs. The faked concerts however could encourage massive class actions suits against performers, at least disappointed concert goers might be able to sue for partial refunds. But, stars actual whereabouts are high guarded during performance events. The truth is well-guarded. Part of the proliferation of this system in the U.S. may be the spread of Marxist/pagan cults who seek to take over political power bases and real estate in exchange for offering people some level of security and privacy. They may be being funded through the profits from falsified industries, including entertainment, for the purpose of waging localized wars on targeted individuals. About your neighbor...even they may be using a hidden spook double...as rumor has it the cults are beginning to create these as a way and means to take over society from within. So much for reality.
