The first American power play was seizing Fallujah’s main hospital. TV screens, newspapers and websites around the world showed doctors and patients handcuffed to the floor. We can be absolutely sure that there will be no casualties brought to this hospital in the days to come. Reporters and independents news media often consult hospital personnel for independent accounts of casualties and in particular doctors are often quoted as an independent sources. With the main hospital now “disabled” and both bridges closed that lead to the other two hospitals, there will be no gruesome photographs of innocent civilians to trouble the collective international conscience, if one still exists. In other words, as far as the viewing public is concerned, the impending massacre will not exist. Any sources of information dissemination are also preliminary targets in the information war that is being played. Disabling information centers, telephone lines and communications grids are all part of the package, as are the “embedded” reporters we are once again seeing, albeit miles away from the action. All of this is played for the camera to create a deception that this is a “humane operation” , one that America “heros” are carrying out for the good of the Iraqi people. Mainstream media, including CNN, BBC and Sky are reporting that the “terrorists” may use civilians as human shields. Anyone who knows anything about the Mujahideen or Islamic rules of engagement know this is a completely false statement. Mujahideen by the very nature of the path of Jihad that they follow are dedicated to the protection of the innocent. This is blatant “spin” to explain away any civilian casualties reports that do make it out as many civilians are still caught inside the city. In five fronts ow open, namely Chechyna, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Iraq, the occupying forces consistently employ the strategy of discrediting the Mujahideen. And no one does it better than the US with its “war on terrorism”. In Fallujah however, this strategy is not likely to glean much as the Fallujah Mujahideen are not only made up of mainly native Iraqis who have no choice but to defend their homes and families but they are also Sunni Muslims who understand the significance of the battle they are now facing. There is no question that the Mujahideen intend to take out as many US soldiers as possible. With 18 explosive-laden vehicles readied in Jowlan alone, and Mujahideen fueled by the desire for martyrdom, this fact is clear however regardless of the outcome, America “winning” the battle for Fallujah is impossible. Every Iraqi death is another cut in an already open wound, not just in Fallujah but throughout the entire country of Iraq. Mujahideen in the country are now waging over 100 attacks a day and if the US persists in its overt murder of Iraqis, the entire country will erupt. The result will be a drawn out war that drains US lives, resources and greenbacks. If the first Fallujah raid in April is any indication, we can expect an even bloodier prolonged battle with heavy US casualties this time round - the very survival of the population of the city is at stake.
