The book may be 'old', but the movie's only a few years old...
Coincidentally (?), this movie's producers are some of the defendants
in the case the victims of the Paducah, KY shooting have brought
about, claiming that they 'caused' the shooter to do what he did...
just the Friday before the Littleton shootings, they were on a local
NYC radio talkshow, explaining why they named who they did in the
case, seems that in the BOOK of "The Basketball Diaries", there's no
dream sequence where the kid goes into school and kills his classmates
and teacher, that was something the movie producers for some reason
decided to add...
