This book was published in the
UK on 5/30/2005 by Mainstream Publishing under the title The Kennedys: The
Conspiracy to Destroy a Dynasty.
I bought the book on 7/9/2005 and it is outstanding
due to the fact Smith worked with previously unknown witnesses
still alive (I guess they couldn't kill EVERYONE on the inside)
who had a conscience and were willing to talk.
The last significant JFK book was Blood, Money and
Power (2003) by Barr McClellan, whose son Scott is press secretary for the
Bush administration and who refused to comment on his father's book. It's easy
to guess why: the book wove an interesting tale in which ALL THE PRINCIPALS
WERE LONG DEAD save for the author. One
can surmise he was coerced into writing the book in exchange for certain
information on his personal and/or professional life remaining unpublicized. He
could have titled the book DON'T BLAME ME, I'VE BEEN COMPROMISED AND HAD TO
DO IT.
Nearly every JFK assassination book in the
past 40 years has been calculated misdirection, diversion, and distraction.
Look over here! Don't look over there! Sam Giancana's daughter told Smith to
disregard her father's book completely.
The lone exception might be Farewell America
written by French intelligence under the pseudonym James Hepburn.
There seems to be a media blackout concerning this
new book, which is no surprise considering its implications.
