If I am not mistaken, this is the company that was shut down by the feds on
Thursday, 9/6/2001, claiming some unspecified "threat" they were looking for
amongst the thousands of emails from Islamic subscribers which make up a goodly
percentage of this company's subscriber base.

It was "the" story on the internet from 9/6 to 9/10/2001, with much hew and cry
regarding the feds wanting to curtail internet freedom...

Then the events of 9/11/2001 caused this odd incident of this Houston-based ISP
which oddly caters to the Islamic world being shut down by the feds while the
feds looked for an undescribed "something" amongst the thousands of emails to
disappear from not only the mainstream news but any internet discussion
groups...

But I've always thought the timing of the shutdown a tad more than
coincidental, and have always wondered what the feds were looking for (if
indeed they were looking for anything, rather than using the supposed search as
an excuse to shut down a server utilized by a fair segment of the Islamic
population)...

And one has to wonder if Everyone's Internet, if it wasn't a spook front
before, didn't become one after 9/11...
