-Caveat Lector- Belive it or not the Republican Congress in 1996 actually passed legislation which authorized development of oil in the Artic National Wildlife Reservation. Bill Clinton vetoed it. Just think, if we could be getting another 2 million barrels of oil per day plu an oil refinery or two to refine it, we would not be in the energy boat we are in mow.
