Back in the 1970's I was an avid reader of Conspiracy Digest.  Because of the flow of current events, my memory often winds back to the subject article by Richard Gilman in the Summer 1977 Issue, Vol. II, No. 3.  At the time I found the subject article intriguing, but marred by Zionist, anti-Islamic propaganda.  (Back then, like most anti-Communists, I thought Islam was a valuable bulwark against communism.)  Now, in light of the escalating "war on terror", the revelations contained in that article appear crucial!  The Conspiracy Digest back issue is available from Amazon's Z-Shops.

Here are a few of the key points of the article:

"The composite picture obtained from these three accounts  shows that Before Hitler Came by Baron von Sebottendorff contains three astonishing revelations:

"1.  The Nazi movement was inspired most directly by the "Thule Gesellschaft" and related groups.  This was, of course, contrary to the official Nazi version expounded in Mein Kampf, that National Socialism was essentially Hitler's own creation.

"2.  Sebottendorff claimed he wrote "Before Hitler Came" on the isntructions of a myterious (apparently Dervish) Moslem brotherhood that saw in Nazism a bulwark against the imminent spiritual destruction of the West at the hands of:  '. . . a vast organization of disbelief, of monstrous proportions. . . '

"3.  According to Sebottendorff, "secret muslim masters" had entrusted him with the mission of "illuminating" Germany."  (via Hitler and Nazism).
