So far, there has been a lot of speculation as to the blame for the bloody massacre at Littleton, Colorado. The vast majority of it has been misleading. The first internet claim was that the gunmen were homosexuals, and that the attack therefore was a hate crime against heterosexuals. The evidence was dubious, at best, based on one posting on an internet newsgroup, and alleged claims that they were taunted as being homosexuals on campus. Of course, anyone who has even the slightest memory of high school knows that calling someone a homosexual is a very popular slur directed at anyone different. Ironically, the greatest promoter of this theory was Matt Drudge, who put the newsgroup posting on his site. Not that there's anything wrong that. Even more absurd is the Family Research Council, who insist the tragedy may be linked to pot smoking, and are trying to promote public school-based random drug testing as a solution. William Randolph Hearst wasn't even this bold. Some have blamed the accident on guns, and have used this event as an excuse to promote gun control laws. Others have blamed it on Hollywood films and video games, a timely claim considering a recent lawsuit filed by Jack Thompson (previously the nemesis of the 2 Live Crew.) Of course, our society does glorify guns and violence (witness Kosovo) and Hollywood and video games do indeed wallow in mindless destruction, but these ideas have been used to promote "solutions" that are fundamentally unsound. The best article of any sort explaining this tragedy comes from James Neff of Sightings, in which he argues that the Littleton shootings are the eventual byproduct of the destructive, dehumanizing conformity that rules high school social structures. Neff points out that the violence, though tragic, is quite understandable, and that the anger behind the slayings is quite deserved. Still, perhaps there is something deeper behind the Littleton massacre. Consider the following: Beneath all the claims and theories, some facts have been forgotten: as Ian Goddard has pointed out, at least one orginial witness account states the gunmen WEREN'T students. Even the authorities now agree that this attack wasn't the work of two lone nuts, based on the number of bombs planted. Who could the collaborators be? In the late 1950s, the Pentagon ordered construction of the nation's intercontinental missile factory at a secluded canyon in Littleton, Colorado. The factory is owned by Lockheed Martin, and it builds unmanned rockets and satellites for telecommunications and space exploration, as well as classified military projects. According to the Los Angeles Times, Lockheed Martin is listed first among top employers in the area, before U.S. West, AT&T, and the National Cable Training Institute. The total population of Littleton is 39,000, from a total of 16,000 families. With over 10,000 people working as employees at Lockheed Martin, that should give you an idea of power concentrated by the defense industry titan in the area. Lockheed Martin was also the parent company behind the billion-dollar a year company Access Graphics, the Boulder, Colorado firm run by John Ramsey, father of Jon-Benet Ramsey. Access Graphic has been accused of being involved in the underground kiddie porn market. The military-industrial komplex has long preferred to use younger people in mind kontrol operations, since they are then dealing with people whose personality isn't completely formed. These operations tend to take place in areas where a heavy concentration of defense kontractor resources and military bases are located. Besides children, those who are targeted for such operations are criminals. Dylan Klebold, 17, and Eric Harris, 18, were caught breaking into a van in 1998, and entered a juvenile-court diversion program allowing them to clear their records. They finished the program in February. Of course, maybe Harris was certainly available long before. From 1993 to 1996, according to the Plattsburgh Press-Republican, Harris lived at the Air Force base in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where his father, Wayne Harris, was a pilot. Montauk is nearby. On a related note, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, officially operated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) but also associated with the Department of Defense and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, is managed via contract by the Lockheed Martin Energy Research Corporation. The contract began January 1, 1996. Previously, research and development activities at ORNL were managed under the contract with Lockheed Martin Energy Systems (Energy Systems). Energy Systems continues to operate the DOE's Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant and K-25 Site, as well as environmental restoration activities at DOE uranium enrichment facilities in Paducah, Kentucky (where a previous student outburst happened.) Description of experiments conducted at ORNL sound suspiciously like those involving HAARP, which along with being a Tesla weapon system and weather modification machine, is believed to be involved in mind kontrol experiments itself. Of course, all this hardly proves anything, but there is certainly a lot to look at (not the least of which is the fact that Oak Ridge is also the home of the Oak Ridge Boys, George Bush's favorite band.) In any case, I certainly am not trying to say that the massacres in Littleton and Paducah are actually the result of mind kontrol experiments. Then again, now that you mention it, it certainly is an interesting theory.
