There is much more going on then in EYES WIDE SHUT. Notice at the Zieglers christmas party ALL THE STARS ARE EIGHT pointed stars. The star of Asteroth. In The Ninth Gate Roman Polanski did very good on this film. He is in his genre here. But alas was not given due credit. I think that this film is more important than EYES WIDE SHUT. Lots of subtle touches.Both films done around the same time.ews 1999 and t9Gate 2000. The locations selected for both films show the ultra rich side we never get to glimpse.
