The War in Iraq has had more unintended consequences than anyone in
the Bush regime had imagined. One of them is a new US strategy to
fund the enemy of the US troops. That's right -- we are funneling
money to the Sunnis, the very same Sunnis who are attached to Al
Qaida in Iraq and the "insurgency."
Did anyone doubt that the US is actually fomenting the war that we
are supposedly there to squelch? This should erase all such doubts.
Thanks to the US invasion, the removal of the Sunni-backed minority
government, the de-Bathification, the disbanding of the Sunni
military, the 'election' of the Shiite Prime Minister Nouri al-
Maliki, and the free ride given to the Shiaa militias, the Shiites
have gained the upper hand in Iraq.
There's one big problem with this situation: The Shiites are also
running Iran -- the same Iran that is reputedly bent on gaining
nuclear weapons capability. Ooops!
That is, in addition to plunging Iraq into complete chaos, the Bush
regime has also empowered Iranian Shiites and made possible a
Shiite "crescent" in the Middle East. Nice job, morons!
Given this 'unintended consequence,' the US is backtracking and
funneling money and support to the Sunnis.
The problem with this is that the Sunnis are heading the insurgency
against the US military and are also the sect with significant ties
to Al Qaida. In fact, Al Qaida is Sunni and Al Qaida in Iraq is a
Sunni-backed organization!
The new "Redirection" strategy of re-empowering the Sunnis (notice
Cheney's recent snuggling up with the Saudis) is not only a
[reversal of] previous strategies -- it funds those segments in
Iraq that are responsible for most of the US deaths there!
Can anyone doubt that the Bush regime either had no idea what they
were doing when they invaded Iraq, or else they wanted to create
the very chaos and threats that they have created?
Likewise, a major part of the 'surge' is the 'surge' in Sunni
capability-sponsored by the US government, i.e., the US taxpayers.
The Bush regime is actually paying for both elements of the surge
-- the increase in troops and the increase in Sunni power. We are
actually funding the enemies of our own troops, even as we send in
more!!!
The Bush regime is not only 'giving comfort to the enemy,' they are
giving ARMS to the enemy, while sending more troops into the jaws
of death! [The Bushmen] are not only 'aiding and abetting the
enemy,' for all practical purposes, they ARE the ENEMY. The
'redirection' is TREASON!
The US should indeed 'redirect' our fight with the enemy.
We need to redirect our government in order to get rid of the
traitors within!
The Bush regime needs to be impeached, removed and tried for treason!
