After listening to the super hot Chinese rhetoric over the embassy debacle in Yugoslavia, I've tried to put myself into the minds of the Chinese strategic planners. First of all, China, like all fascist states, could care less about the death of its citizens---unless there is some other reason behind the ruffled feathers and grave displays of concern. They are as bad at feigning concern for human life as the U.S. is. Without question, China's sovereign territory was targeted by the U.S. military, and was indeed hit by U.S. weapons. It doesn't matter if the incident was a mistake or not. It happened. Having said this, it is obvious that the Chinese are up to something. And I think that "something" might have to do with Taiwan. Think about it: At the moment, the U.S. is embroiled in two separate shooting wars in different regions of the world. Although the almost daily combat incidents in Iraq don't make many headlines, that operation, combined with the escalating Balkan mess, are spreading U.S. forces rather thin. Would the U.S. be able to repel a Chinese invasion of Taiwan at this time? Probably not---without having to resort to nuclear weapons... Is Taiwan capable of defending itself? Impossible, even after purchasing American made war toys for decades, the threat from the mainland is beyond overwhelming. This may sound WAAAAAY out there, but it's not any more insane than some of the crap that has gone down before! Maybe Dr. Strangelove is making an appearance in the Pentagon/CIA/NSC. They know the Chinese theft of nuclear secrets was the most damaging blow to U.S. national security this century, and that some of those secrets may be turned into weapons that could be lobbed back our way in short order. Now the U.S. gang needs an opportunity to unleash a clean up operation... Especially after Clinton stopped the justice department counter-intelligence operation at Los Alamos.... Hmmm... Look at that dingdong! I can just see his mind at work, "I bombed the hell out of Yugoslavia and that made the rape allegations go away! Ya. So maybe if I bomb China, a nuclear power, we'll be able to postpone discussing how I took cash bribes from the PLA. And (chuckle) how I stopped the FBI from shutting down a long running Chinese espionage operation at the highest levels of U.S. military research and development! That's the ticket!" The weapon is designed to be used against armor and personnel targets that are spread out over a large battlefield. The clinical term for a cluster bomb is "area denial weapon." This is Serbia's Kuwait -- the heart of Kosovo. We export to France, Switzerland, Greece, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Russia and Belgium. We export to a firm in New York, but I would prefer not to name it." There is no shortage of people asking, "Why here?" and "Why now?" I was one of them. Well, now I think a big part of the motivation is clear, and I want you to help me disseminate this information as widely as possible. One of the few useful axioms they taught us in school was that humanitarian justifications for foreign policy do not exist in and of themselves; there is always an ulterior motive, if not several. And it appears that this concept holds true for the current war in Yugoslavia. Indeed, the decision to begin a war and sustain it is easy when the outcome will determine who controls a mineral deposit in Kosovo worth SEVERAL HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS!!! This story describes the Greek connection: "Last May, Mytilinaios SA [a Greek mining company] signed a five-year contract worth $519 BILLION with the state-owned RMHK Trepca [located in Kosovo] and the Serbian agency of foreign trade, in which Mytilinaios will forward one third of the mineral production in the international market and also upgrade mining equipment and facilities. Trepca mines are on the list of companies soon to be privatized, thus allowing the Greek company to buy stock." Watch and see: The KLA will get Kosovo and American and European transnational corporations will get the mines as payment. That is, if a World War doesn't ensue with Russia in the interim. There are no protagonists in this story. Stopping [WARNING: The following link contains close-up images of executed civilians] Serbian genocide of the Albanian population in Kosovo makes for a good rhetorical justification of NATO's action when the actual goal is to secure access to a vast supply of natural resources. Why not just say that stopping genocide is the secondary or perhaps tertiary goal of the interventionist policy in Yugoslavia? Simple: Nobody wants to hear that. Remember, Saddam Hussein was a major client of the U.S. who received billions of dollars in loan guarantees and weapons (through the CIA). He used chemical weapons on his own Kurdish population.
