story balcony of his house. He faced east toward the Sandia Mountains and

# Woman Uses Breasts As Bird's Nest. OSLO (Reuters) - A Norwegian woman is
using the cleavage between her breasts as a nest to help incubate a bird's
egg. Anne-Mette Smette, a 58-year-old former hospital midwife, reckons the
speckled green and brown egg should hatch in several weeks time. She aims to
keep it in her cleavage, even when sleeping at night, to keep it warm.

out of bed before noon Saturday morning, 23 teams of undergraduates woke up
early to save the world from evil on the Garrett-Evangelical Theological
Seminary lawn. More than 80 students participated in the eighth annual
Design Competition with a "Mission Impossible" theme that asked teams to
build robots demonstrating speed, strategy and innovation. The robots were
required to travel through a maze created by the competition executive
board, centering around a story of the creation of an evil weapon stored in
one corner of the maze. The robots tried to get to this corner in the least
amount of time to destroy the "Kinetic Bipolar Electromagnetic Transducer

# Africa Stone Circle. In the March 1999 National Geographic, there is a
photo of a circle made from small, flat, dark rocks on beige sand in the
Sahara desert of Africa. The perfect circle is a ring about two feet wide
laid flat on the desert sand, stretching about 60 feet from one side of the
ring to the other. Who put the dark stones down so neatly and perfectly flat
is unknown. The mystery does not end with the ring. Investigators found that
if they go about one mile from the ring of rocks, there are markers exactly
north, south, east and west of the ring. The markers are also made of dark
stones that form arrows pointing away from the circle in each of the four
directions. So far, no one knows the age of the ring and arrows, who made

entered an elite club of commercial satellite launching states when a rocket
blasted off from a southern seaport with two foreign payloads. The Polar
Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C2, lifted off from Sriharikota on the Bay of
Bengal coast at 11:52 a.m. Anxious scientists broke into cheers and hugged
each other as the rocket put satellites in space some 17 minutes after take-
