-Caveat Lector-
Does anyone believe this President who has not ever told the truth in
his life is going to give you a good deal with medical reform? If he wants
socialized medicine ... well, I can't think of a better reason not to want
it. If you want socialized medicine you are surely playing into the hands of
the global elite. Think about it, they suck you in under the guise of being
humane, of helping the poor and down-trodden of society, then they step on
your chest with both feet with authoritarian Fascism and bring you to the
level of the poor, until you are nothing but a slave.

Bob Stokes

President Clintons Plan to Bring Government-Run Health Care Back from the
Dead
Regardless, President Clinton still wants you to be beholden to a bureaucrat
for your health care:
"Im glad I tried to do the health care plan. ... What I tried to do before
wont work. Maybe we can do it ... a step at a time until eventually we
finish this." (President Bill Clinton, 9/15/97)
The president and his allies plan to:
drive up health insurance premiums with laws that require us to buy more
benefits, and then
raise taxes for new government programs to cover those of us who lose our
health insurance when mandates make it too expensive.
<Picture: Bill of Rights>First, Make Private
Health Insurance Unaffordable . . .
President Clinton has proposed a "Consumer Bill of Rights" that declares you
have a right to certain types of health coverage. In fact, your right to this
coverage is so great, President Clinton wants to force you to buy it
whether you want it or not.
As any non-politician will tell you, every time the government forces us to
buy more coverage, our premiums go up. And every time our premiums go up,
fewer people can afford health coverage. According to the Congressional
Budget Office, every one percent increase in price makes health coverage
unaffordable for another 200,000 Americans.
So its no surprise that the presidents so-called "Bill of Rights" would
cause health premiums to increase by three percent nationwide and cause
another 600,000 Americans to lose their health coverage.
. . . Then Hand Our Health Care Over to the Bureaucrats, One Group at a Time
While the government causes more and more Americans to lose their health
coverage, President Clinton stands ready to scoop them up one group at a
time into a government program.
Last year, it was a new government-run health care program for children. This
year, President Clinton wants to expand the soon-to-be bankrupt Medicare
program to provide government coverage for people under age 65.
Who will be next?

Why is a Republican Congress Implementing
the Clinton Health Plan?
President Clintons health plan is getting an awful lot of help from
Republicans who were elected in 1994 by a public fearful of
government-controlled health care.
Many of them helped Clinton create his "MediKid" program.
Rep. Charles Norwood (R-GA) claims to oppose the Clinton health plan, yet he
is pushing a plan that would go even farther than the presidents dozen
consumer mandates. One study estimates that just a few of the 140 benefits
Rep. Norwood wants to force you to buy would increase your health premiums by
23 percent and make coverage unaffordable for another 4.6 million Americans.
Rep. Greg Ganske (R-IA) is another Republican sponsoring a piece of the
Clinton health plan. Rep. Ganske wants to hire as many as 7,000 federal
bureaucrats to fix a health care "problem" that no longer exists.
A number of other Republicans are pushing pieces of the Clinton health plan.
