An entire chapter in the new book, Drugging America--A Trojan Horse, is devoted
to Rodney Matthews (The book will be out by July 31.) There are some interesting
aspects to the Matthews story, involving Montana, Escobar, the usual Justice
Department corruption, and much more. He was working for U.S. Customs in San
Antonio, about to ensnare major drug cartels--with CIA connections--and had
discovered drug money going to a political party in Midland, Texas. Justice
Department prosecutors then stepped in and charged Matthews for drug
smuggling--which was part of the Customs undercover operation--which effectively
protected the drug cartels, the CIA, and blocked exposure of the drug money to a
major political party. It is an interesting safa, with the uusual Justice
Department crud involved.
