And I suppose the many repeated proclamations of Arab leaders that
they would overrun Israel and kill all the Jews are irrelevant, eh?
And Palestinians and other Arabs didn't make many Israeli friends by
supporting Saddam Hussein launching SCUDs into Israel. But things
change. Today I heard Israeli P.M. Barak quoted as saying that a
de-facto Palestinian state now exists; so Ben-Gurion's "violent
fantasies of conquest and destruction" seem rather antiquated now.
Maybe. Unless the telepathic giant squids sew more discord...
