From: The International Forum on Globalization

The International Forum on Globalization (IFG) is
organizing a Teach-In on the World Trade Organization
(WTO), to be held in Seattle, Washington, on Saturday
November 27, 1999.  The event will take place at the
2,500-seat Benaroya Seattle Symphony Hall a few days
before the WTO Ministerial meeting.  Most of the
Teach-In events will be free to the public.

The Seattle Teach-In will focus on the problems of
economic globalization and, specifically, on the
activities of the WTO and other international agreements
and institutions.  Panels of speakers will address the
current failed economic model, and focus on areas such
as agriculture, the environment, human rights, labor
rights, consumer rights, food safety, public health, and
many more issues that are affected by the WTO.

We will keep you posted on more specific Teach-In
information as it develops.  The following is a partial
