-Caveat Lector- Source: Middle American News, July 1999, page 7 General Lee's Portrait Removed subtitled: America's Heritage Suppressed In Richmond, Virginia A museum at Richmond, Virginia, former capital of the Confederacy, removed an outdoor portrait of Gen. Robert E. Lee because a black city councilman said it was offensive to "my community." ['community' is a socialism buzzword; klintoon and his spouse use it all the time] The councilman, who says his name is "Sa'ad El-Amin," [no doubt a Muslim (Moselm) with an African heritage] compared Gen. Lee to Adolf Hitler and threatened to organize a boycott of the opening festivities planned for the city's renovated downtown Canal Walk. Lee's portrait was just one of 28 others on display as part of a mural on Richmond's flood wall designed to celebrate the city's heritage. Other portraits include Indian Chief Powhattan and Gabriel Prosser, a slave who tried to lead a revolt. As Middle Americans lose political and cultural influence in the u.S. under the pressure of mass immigration and multiculturalist ideology, radical new elites are suppressing and de-legitimizing the heritage they intend to replace. In just two recent incidents, George Washington's name was removed from all-black [Negro] school in Louisiana, and in [the PDR of] California, Aztec religious displays [human sacrifices?] are being erected in public parks. El-Amin said that after seeing a newspaper photograph of Gen. Lee's picture, he met with James J. McCarthy [assume he is of European Caucasian heritage], executive director of the Richmond Riverfront Development Corp. which is responsible for renovating Canal Walk. El-Amin told McCarthy, "Either it comes down or we jam." [not sure what 'jam' means] El-Amin says it is okay to put up pictures of Gen. Lee in private homes, but not on public property. "He is offensive to the African American [should have said, Americans of Negro heritage] community [that buzzword again] because of what he stood for." he said. "It should be no earth-shattering revelation that African Americans [read Americans of Negro heritage] are offended about the whole situation in which we were dehumanized made into chattel property through slavery. There was no apology made for that and no reparations. [look out, folks! he wants to suck of your tax dollars] And Lee defended that." Lee is universally regarded by scholars as one of history's brilliant generals. President Abraham Lincoln offered Lee command of the Union troops, but he declined. Lee, who owned no slaves, was superintendent at West Point, and was president of Washington College, later renamed Washington and Lee. His father, Henry "Lighthorse Harry" Lee, served in the Revolutionary Army under George Washington, and was a congressman from Virginia who urged the state to ratify the Constitution. The suppression of the Lee portrait follows on the heels of an earlier campaign by multiculturalists against Richmond's famed Monument Boulevard. Dedicated to historical figures from the Confederacy including Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Jeb Stuart and Jefferson Davis, the boulevard now features a statue of a black [an American of Negro heritage] tennis player from the 1970's. Richmond, which is about 55 percent black [Americans of Negro heritage], has been trying to attract businesses and tourists to the downtown area. Visitors and tourists were chased away after a decade of shooting, stabbings, and robberies. [brackets] added by Bard. Gonna limit my comment on the above to the apparent fact that the good citizens of The Commonwealth of Virginia have been grossly negligent in the protection of not only their heritage, but the protection of all "Americans" heritage, inasmuch as The War of Northern Aggression Against the South AKA The War Between the States involved the entire Union. I might add that it was NOT a Civil War because neither of the two opposing factions fought for control of a central governing authority.
