Just a thought. This isn't a 'theory', it's a tale spun by a tabloid columnist, parodying some classical literature. The scenario of the dead conversing with a demonic presence about their iniquities goes back in Western culture to time immemorial, from Greek & Roman & Persian & Arab & medieval & Renaissance poets, on up to Mark Twain & Hermann Hesse & C.S.Lewis & Jerry Pournelle. It isn't a 'theory', theories are testable, verifiable, falsifiable. A theory is a workable explanation supported by the preponderance of data, and speculations involving devils just don't qualify - untestable, unworkable, nonviable, no data.
