This is the first I heard that he's a 'former chemist'...but my gut
feeling when I first heard on the radio about the shootings at a
brokerage firm was remembering the movie "3 Days of the Condor', and I
wondered if perhaps the brokerage firm may have been a front for some
spook organization...
BREAKING NEWS: As I'm typing this (20:15 EDT), MSNBC is reporting that
the car that's registered to Barton has been found at the intersection of
I-75 and I believe they said Route 120), with the occupant inside dead...
presumed to be Barton, presumed to have committed suicide...
Seems like the intersection of 2 major highways a strange place to commit
suicide and not be found for a couple of hours...
Anyways, what I was about to type, before that bit broke...
Back in 1993, so the current reports are saying, this guy bought some
land at a campground in Alabama...for some reason his wife, kids, and
mother-in-law went camping there, leaving Barton and his father-in-law at
home...the wife and MIL were found murdered, savagely stabbed multiple
times...their jewelry and handbags were missing, the MIL's handbag was
later found dumped in a trashcan....but it's being reported that some of
the cops investigating the murders felt the robberies were 'staged' to
make it appear as if robbery was the motive...
They haven't explained where the kids were during the murders...the kids
were apparantly only 5 and 3 at the time...
These are the 2 kids who are now dead...
Barton apparantly refused to take a polygraph test in the 1993 murders,
while his father-in-law did, and passed...
BREAKING NEWS (20:25 EDT): Atlanta mayor is live on MSNBC, saying that
cops had pulled Barton over, and that Barton then 'killed himself'...
