Early this morning I turned on the radio and the agricultural news
happened to be on. The announcer stated that Clinton and Gore
had met with 75 farmers in Arkansas recently trying to garner
support for Gore's presidential campaign. The farmers were critical
of Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman but were especially
hateful when it came to the Freedom to Farm legislation.
The next statement by the announcer struck me as very odd. He
said. "Clinton ran the show" and told them that since the program
wasn't working it had to be fixed. Does anyone else find it strange
that Clinton would be running the show while ostensibly
campaigning for Gore? I find it even stranger that the announcer
included the fact in his broadcast.
If Clinton won't even let poor old Al campaign for himself, does that
mean we can expect President Goretoon if Gore is elected? Does
Billy J. have something on Gore that will keep him on a leash even
after Clinton has to step down?
