-Caveat Lector- Dear Friends: I'd like to commend the Kansas Board of Education for their vote to remove Evolution from the curriculum of Kansas public schools. Kids from other states will now have less competition for higher education and meaningful employment. Kansas graduates will of course be able to find rewarding careers in the building maintenance and food service industries. Televangelists and other demagogues will have an easier time targeting audiences - they'll merely address their messages to Kansans. Family planning clinic bombers will have an enlarged group from which to recruit. A new pool of guests will be available for the Jerry Springer Show and similar media productions. I'm certain that many other public benefits will ensue. Yes, the Board has performed wonderfully. Now you can work towards removing geology, astronomy, biology and other such unholy subjects from the Kansas curriculum. Why clutter-up education with science? Yours, Richard N.
