Subject: (en) (ca) ACTION: Commute the sentence of Mondo we Langa!

Mondo we Langa, together with Edward Poindexter, they were some of the principal founding members of the chapter of Omaha of the Black Panthers, in Nebraska.
Mondo we Langa, that in that era answered to the name of David Rice, was information minister of the magazine "Freedom by any means necessary" and was one of the activists of the afroamerican community that for the FBI and the policeman of Omaha had to of be immediately" neutralized "(murdered or condemned of by life).
Both activists were accused of the death of a policeman (Larry T. Menard), with the only one accusation of a young Afro-American of 16 years (Duane Christopher Peak) that changed in several occasions your initial testimony, after be pressed and threatened by the policeman with be executed in the electrical chair and with taking reprisals against your family. In spite of the fact that in your first statements Duane C. Peak was recognized as author of the placement of the pump that killed to the policeman, it was four years in prison and left at large upon going from author of the facts to witness of the accusation. Meanwhile, Mondo we Langa and Edward Poindexter, in a judgement to which was given to her much advertising and in the one which in spite of the fact that did not exist tests in your against, they were condemned to chain for life since in that era in Nebraska there was not death penalty. The police assembly was clear and it did not remain the smaller doubts upon appearing, finally of much time, a tape of a recording that the FBI had put excessive interest in their disappearance and that was supposed destroyed, but of the one which a policeman had kept a copy. The apparition and the content of the tape was known after the said policeman death and puts in all evidence the police version and his perverse assembly.
With the penalty of Mondo we Langa and Edward Poindexter, and the chase of your activists, the Black Panthers disappeared thoroughly from Omaha.

Without a change of political will, all these activists seem condemned to die executed or to happen the rest of their days in prison as testimony of the police and political chase and of the complicity of the mistakes of the justice system of the USA. Therefore it is necessary to press before the institutions so that put them immediately at large.

Send urgently a letter to the address and with the text that appears more down.

Gentlemen:

I am very concerned about those political dissidents of the 60s and 70s who remain in prison, even though subsequent evidence indicates that they were targeted by the FBI, and were convicted on faulty evidence.

Mondo we Langa (formerly David Rice) is one such prisoner, and he has been incarcerated for 29 years, for a crime he denies committing Evidence obtained long after his trial raises doubts about the fairness of his conviction.

I ask that you act to honor his constitutional rights, and immediately commute his sentence to time served.

Thank you for recognizing the responsibilities of public servants to uphold human rights in the United States.

Sincerely,
(Name, address and signature)

Sinceramente,
