In a foretaste of the worst fears of Y2K scaremongers,
authorities expect massive failures of navigation equipment that
uses the Global Positioning System, or GPS, at midnight, this
Saturday, August 21. Hardest hit could be light aircraft flyers
and sailboat operators, they say. Though it may seem like it's
millennium-related, this problem actually has nothing to do with
Y2K
