Too true. Under Hoover, the FBI was vicious, vindictive and controlling.
Now it is vicious, vindictive and controlling. Let's not forget, however,
that from time to time, someone in that morass does some amazingly effective
work. There must be a nucleus of honest and dedicated people in there
