Things They Never Taught You About World War II Hint: It Wasn't "The Good War" August 28, 1999 To discuss this article go to http://www.libertariansocialist.com/cgi-bin/bbmat.cgi?script=military Silver Spring, MD -- we all know how conservatives have lied and told us that World War II was "the good war". Well, it wasn't. And for all of you taking American history classes this fall, here are some facts you may want to have addressed. 1) Both Generals Eisenhower (American Commander in Europe) and MacArthur (American Commander in the Pacific) had been responsible for the massacre of protesting World War I veterans during the 1930s. In 1932, both Eisenhower and MacArthur participated in a an US Army attack on World War I Veterans protesting for back pay and benefits. Their troops opened fire on the protesters, killing several, and set their meager possessions and makeshift camps on fire. In other words, these two "American heroes" had no compulsion against killing war veterans to maintain the control of the ruling class. Eisenhower's role in this was part of the inspiration for the Anti-Flag song "Die For You Government" (Lyrics: "First World War veterans slaughtered by General Eisenhower, Give them your life, they give you a stab in the back."). The role of MacArthur is detailed on HistoryChannel.com's website. 2) The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was not a sneak attack. In November, 1942, the US Government sent a war ultimatum to Japan, saying that if it did not give up all territory it has occupied and return to its 1936 borders that the United States intended to declare war. In December, 1942, the Japanese responded to US threats by bombing Pearl Harbor. In short, Pear Harbor was not a sneak attack on an unsuspecting America, but a response to US threats of aggression and imperialism. The idea that it was a sneak attack was a propaganda technique used to excite the American populace. 3) The shortage of good in America during World War II was not due to the war effort but due to the deliberate actions of the US Army to raise consumer prices and increase profits. The taxes, the debt, and the shortage of good that occurred during World War II were created not as a necessary expenditure of resources for the war effort but as a deliberate plot by the US Army, in conspiracy with major corporations and banks, to raise consumer prices and create a feeling of scarcity and need. This is detailed in Gus Hall's book Working Class USA, where he describes how he participated in an Navy program to destroy raw materials and manufactured goods on the island of Guam for the express purpose of raising consumer prices and creating a scarcity of good in homeland America. He further describes how this program was part of an agreement between the Army and several major manufacturers of consumer goods to increase profits for American corporations by decreasing the availability of consumer goods and raw materials. In other words, all those people who scrimped and saved pennies and raised Victory Gardens didn't do it because there was any real shortage of goods, but because a shortage of goods was created artificially by the US military in conjunction with the US ruling class. 4) The Allied powers, particularly the United States, committed a holocaust against Germans and people of German descent that was not only just as deliberate but larger than the Holocaust the Germans committed against the Jews. Six million Jews were killed by Nazis in World War II. 4 Million more were rounded up and placed in concentration camps, and had their property confiscated. Seven point three million Germans, 3.8 million soldiers, 3.5 million civilians, were killed during World War II. As many as five million more were killed after the war during the Allied occupation, between 1945 and 1949. At least 12 million people of German descent were rounded up and placed into concentration camps. 3.5 million Germans were tried and convicted of purely political crimes (meaning they didn't kill anyone, didn't run concentration camps, didn't do anything but hold a membership card in a Nazi organization -- something which was almost required of citizens living in Nazi Germany). Let's be more specific: The Allies deliberately murdered German civilians. The German deliberately destroyed Jewish neighborhoods. The United States and the Western Allies deliberately destroyed entire German cities. The firebombing of Dresden is the best known deliberate targeting of German cities, but other deliberate massacres of German civilians. All German civilians were not Nazis. The US deliberately murder German children. They deliberately attempted to exterminate German population centers. In other words, the Untied States was as guilty of genocide during the war as the Nazi regime. After the war, the United States adopted a policy of "deindustrialization", This is something which had never, in human history, been attempted before. The Nazis didn't do this to France, or Poland. The Soviets didn't even have the stomach to carry through on it with the zeal of the Americans. What the Americans did was deliberately destroy all German industry, meaning they deliberately destroyed not only the means of producing armaments, but also the means of producing clothing, housing, and food. Millions of Germans, already living in a devastated nation, with their population centers destroyed, starved. When the Germans began starving, the Allies then passed a law forbidding the importation of food. This starvation continued for four years. When the Germans threatened to revolt, the Allied governors threatened to murder the entire population. In other words, the United States turned Germany into a giant concentration camp and then starved to death millions of people of German descent, Nazis or not. Further, the allies rounded up all people of German descent living outside the borders of Germany, approximately twelve million Germans, confiscated their homes and all their property, and forced them into camps in the new political boundaries of Germany, where they starved with their fellow Germans. In other words, the US Army seized the property of millions of civilians who had had nothing to do with the Nazi party, dispossessed them solely because of their ethnic origins, and then rounded them into camps where they were starved. Further again, the US engaged in a policy of "denazification" that it eventually had to give up because of the absolute lawlessness of what was going on. "Denazification" was not limited to the Nuremberg trials (see below), but targeted rather 3.5 million Germans who had held membership in any Nazi-backed organization. "Denazification" would have been the equivalent of "derepublicanization" in America, "delaborization" in Britain, or "decommunization" in the Soviet Union. In a country ruled by a one-party dictatorship(Third Reich, Soviet Union), or a two-party dictatorship (America and Britain), many civilians join that Party to preserve their lives. So, many innocent Germans who had joined Nazi organizations because they lived in a one-Party Nazi dictatorship that forced them too, were dispossess of their property and/or placed in jail for trying to survive under the Nazi regime. In addition, the US seized rights to all German copyrights and patents and turned those copyrights and patents over to US companies, making US companies rich. And last but not least, the Nuremberg trials, of which allies like the US and Britian are supposed to be so proud, were provided over by a Soviet communist judge. So, in some, the US deliberately acted in a lawless manner in its occupation of Germany, and committed a Holocaust against the German people that was as much as twice as great as the Holocaust the Germans committed against the Jews. ----- Libertarian Socialist News Post Office Box 12244 Silver Spring, MD 20908 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.libertariansocialist.com Not formally affiliated with http://www.overthrow.com ----- LSN would like to thank the Rabbi at the Weisenthal Center who told Reuters News Service that UAP was a "anti-Christian" hate group and got so many people interested in researching National Socialism, Neo-Nazism, and the entire "hate" and "anti-hate" movement. -------------------- Things They Never Taught You About World War II

Silver Spring, MD -- we all know how conservatives have lied and told us that World War II was "the good war".
