officers patrolling the streets said Assistant Commissioner of Operations
Cheung Chi-sum. Cheung said leave during a four-week period straddling
the New Year had been restricted and the force would cancel holidays if
necessary. "In the unlikely event of that (disruptions) occurring, we have
