One's inner desire is not fulfilled by forcing an act on others just so he/she can feel more comfortable with the decision. On the federal level, where in the Constitution have the States/people granted the federal government the power to sanction same sex marriage? Remember, we are not a Democracy where the Majority rules; we are a Nation of Laws which obligates the Citizen to adhere to the Law. If enough Citizens can come together to propose to amend, or pass new laws, then fine. But remember also, the Legislator has to uphold the Constitution first. The Legislator is there to protect us from those who would usurp the law for their own personal aggrandizement.
