Clips from a speech by Muhammad have been running on NPR in which he describes blacks as "the true Israelites..." If you look at the origins of the Nation of Islam (which Khallid Muhammad is essentially a heretical member of), it began during the '20s and '30s, at the same time as the British Israel movement was starting to meld with assorted fascist and racist groups. I wonder if there is actually a connection between Afrocentrism and British Israel/Christian Identity.
