# VIRUS TROJ_FIX2001 - definitely not a Y2K fix. TROJ_FIX2001 is another
email worm claiming to be a fix for the Y2K Internet Connection problem.
But, instead of checking the system for potential problems, TROJ_FIX2001
modifies the Windows registry and copies itself to the Windows System
directory. After the system is rebooted, TROJ_FIX2001 tries to spread
itself by attaching an executable to a 2nd email message, which follows
every outgoing message. While TrendMicro has not seen many reports of
TROJ_FIX2001, customers are advised to upgrade to Trend pattern file 588,
