-Caveat Lector-
In my ignorance, I once believed that a university harbored dedicated
scholars who were interested in searching for the truth. Ha! What a
farce!! In reality, it's a playground for crackpots and zanies...complete
loonies of various political stripes... A pox on all of them!
I was told by my research advisor that I should abandon my investigation
into the origins of the Federal Reserve because it was too controversial a
topic. My criticism of neoliberalism was felt to be too dangerous...and
too upsetting to some unnamed members in the department. Academic
freedom? Ha! What a joke!
Many of the instructors had their groupies....men and women who more or
less had to cater to the whims of individuals who imagined themselves as
demigods.... A very creepy,depressing scene.
