W3Thermo...a program that analyzes firewall logs and shows
managers where employees are going online, and how much time they
are spending there. Says W3Control Vice President John Skowlund -
"Our customers are very surprised to see that many employees
spend excessive work hours at investment, job search,
entertainment and sex sites." He says by monitoring employee
usage of the 'Net, companies can increase productivity and lower
their Internet costs. The program has more than
one-point-two-million URLs catalogued in 60 categories. A free
assessment of a company's log data can be requested at
