Former Senator John Danforth, the new independent counsel selected by
Janet Reno to investigate the Waco cover-up has apparently managed to
corrupt the investigation by his first official act as counsel. That act was
to appoint as his chief deputy, the St. Louis U.S. Attorney, Edward L.
Dowd,
who is currently under investigation for misappropriating taxpayer funds
that
he used to help stop the repeal of the Missouri. concealed weapons ban.
The evidence that Dowd used Justice Dept. funds to set up a mailing
campaign,
toll free number, lobbying materials and staff assistance was documented
in an article by the Washington Times' Jerry Seper, who has rapidly become
perhaps America's best investigative reporter.
It appears that Dowd is the hit man designated to sabatoge the Waco
investigation in much the same way as Mark Tuohey sabatoged the
investigation into the death of VInce Foster. Tuohey was hired by Ken Starr
despite the fact that he had a party for Janet Reno in his house. It was
Tuohey's intereference that caused Miguel Rodriguez to resign citing ethics
problem
just after he had discovered upon the photographic evidence that Vince
Foster
was murdered by a bullet in the cheek. Starr onfirmed the Fiske ruling that
Foster committed suicide despite the fact that Foster's fingerprints were
not
even found on the gun.
The Danforth Waco probe is under the direction of deputy Attorney General
Eric Holder, who refused to tap the phone line of Wen Ho Lee, the only
rejection out of 2000 FBI wire tap requests. One of the first acts of Deputy
Holder was to remove from the probe, U.S. Attorney WIllliam Johnston, the
assistant U.S. Attorney in Waco. Johnston was the official who notified
Janet Reno that the FBI was lying and allowed Rules of Engagement producer,
Michael McNulty, access to the evidence. It is now clear that Janet Reno
never wanted to be informed.
Can everyone see where this Waco probe is going already?
