EXCELLENT suggestions. Let corporate criminals feel the injustice of
forfeiture laws inflicted on ordinary citizens! Also, since many majority
shareholders hold stock in other corporations, a la "interlocking
directorates," let's spell out that asset forfeiture apply to ALL shares in
ALL corporations in which a convicted party has an interest.
In addition to the above penalties, how about this: "Indicted corporations
(and their stareholders, individually) are forbidden to engage in politics --
e.g., barred from making campaign contributions." Instead of being permitted
EXTRAORDINARY privileges under the law, corporations should have to endure
the same RESTRICTIONS on "outside activities" placed on churches and
NON-profit groups by state and federal tax codes ...
