I hate to mention it, but I don't know why anyone objects to the White House
taking a look at their FBI file. If they want to see mine, have at it. It's
okay with me.
As for the Travel Office. That was not a Civil Service office. It is
entirely private and apparently lives to serve "THE PRESS." Billy had been
keeping the money in his private account for ages. He had been investigated
by a couple of Adiministrations before Clinton came in. Further the head of
the travel office serves (as does the White House chef) at the pleasure of
the President. Now of course, one should dismiss employees in a gentler
manner, but God knows the President and everyone he has ever known has paid
for the mistakes made a million times over. It seems that Billy Dale did
wonderful favors for the Press. They really loved the guy, and when he was
fired, they never forgave the Clintons. It is because of this great passion
for Billy Dale that we now know every possible aspect of presidential sex
lives (ad nauseum), and every possible unfavorable rumor about the Clintons
that has ever been thought up, and no one can say our media is not
imaginative. As for FBI agents, when did they get so trustworthy? I
believe the FBI were deeply involved with Ruby Ridge, and I don't think
anyone but Janet Reno every thought anything honorable ever came out of that.
