In recent cases of US armed intervention, in which citizens were murdered in their own countries, Haiti had a "gun control" law (December 22, 1922, amended October 1, 1980) and so did Bosnia, when it was part of the former Yugoslavia (September 17, 1964). The cynical arms embargo against the Bosnian Muslims, by the way, prevented people from defending themselves against Bosnian Serb so-called "ethnic cleansing." Nazi Parallels With American Gun Control Laws In a fascinating book called Gun Control: Gateway To Tyranny, authors Jay Simkin and Aaron Zelman show that the Nazi Weapons Law (March 18, 1938) is the source of the US Gun Control Act of 1968. In the book, the official German text of the Nazi law is presented side-by-side with its American counterpart. A section-by-section comparison with the American Gun Control Act of 1968 shows the undeniable lineage. Thus America's draconian gun control laws remain one of Hitler's lasting legacies. According to the authors, the Nazi Weapons Law of 1938 replaced a Law on Firearms and Ammunition (April 13, 1928). The 1928 law was enacted by the German Government to curb so-called "gang activity," violent street battles between Nazi and Communist thugs. Sound familiar? In America, "gang activity" has also been used as a pretext by strident anti-gunners. "Gun control did not save democracy in Germany," says Zelman. "It helped to make sure that the toughest criminals, the Nazis, prevailed. Then, when the Nazis inherited the lists of firearms and their owners in March, 1933, they used these registration lists to seize privately-held firearms from persons who were 'unreliable.' "In 1938, five years after taking power, the Nazis enhanced the 1928 law with the Nazi Weapons Law which introduced handgun control. Firearms ownership was restricted to Nazi party members and other reliables, while Jews were barred altogether." Conclusion? A disarmed population can be slaughtered much more efficiently. NRA Maintains Status Quo Controlled opposition groups like the National Rifle Association (NRA) have done little to stop the march of totalitarian-style gun control. "We [JPFO] are very different from the NRA. We believe that gun control should be destroyed," says Zelman in a recent taped interview. "We view gun control as a cancer, a cancer that will destroy the guardian of the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights. "The National Rifle Association pooh-poohs the idea of destroying gun control. They look for ways to compromise and work within the system. In doing so, they keep gun control alive. "The Gun Owners of America differs from JPFO in that they do a wonderful job of aggressively lobbying politicians, and they use a lot of our material. So we heartily endorse the GOA." Those Rebellious Canadians Even the traditionally milquetoast Canadians have recently looked back in anger at gun control laws. On December 1, 1998, a law went into effect requiring three million gun owners to register their estimated seven million rifles and handguns. Gun owners, exempt from previous registration, refused and have even taken to the streets in protest. "Canadians should get upset," contends Zelman, "because of 'home invasions' where brazen armed criminals barge right in during daylight. The suspected victims are unarmed, so they [armed robbers] can just march right in there. I don't know how far the Canadian people are going to go with their disgust, but fortunately there is a growing number of people who are voicing their opposition." Gun control laws did nothing to prevent a 14-year-old student from opening fire and killing a 17-year-old classmate in an Alberta high school, or a former Ottawa transit worker who went postal killing four, then shooting himself to death. The Canadian constitution, by the way, does not include the right to bear arms. Handgun Control's Spooky History Rumors persist that the anti-gun lobby, Handgun Control Inc., headed by Sarah Brady, is a CIA front. "I don't think it's a CIA front," says Zelman. "The facts are that Edwin Wells, who worked with the CIA until he retired, actually helped fund Gun Control Inc. He helped Pete Shields get Handgun Control Inc. off the ground and running. "It's interesting that Pete Shields started Handgun Control Inc. when one of his sons was murdered in what was known as the 'Zebra Slayings' in San Francisco. Conveniently enough, when Mr. Wells held dinners in his Georgetown home and invited people in to raise money, he learned about Pete Shields' pet project. "Bill Casey, former director of the CIA, was also a promoter of Handgun Control. These people always talked about how they found out how dangerous handguns were in the hands of civilians. Civilians could kill those who were coming to kill them. And they didn't like that. "The whole anti-gun movement, the whole anti-freedom movement has very murky beginnings," suggests Zelman. Apparently, some members of EgyptAir Fl. 990's crew were AWARE that something bad might happen to the plane, according to a NUMBER of different sources, the Boston Herald reported today. Investigators on both sides of the Atlantic are now actively looking into growing evidence certain crew members had an inkling--at the LEAST-- that something catastrophic might befall the Boeing 767 jet after it left the New York area early on Oct. 31. Mechanical failure of any kind whatsoever has been ruled out as a cause of the crash by anyone or any agency without a hidden agenda at work, so WHAT could these crew members have been aware of?? Curious as well is that fact that not only were 33 Egyptian military officers on board the flight but also an unusually high number of EgyptAir personnel and pilots. Perhaps what befell the jet and what some crew members may have been aware of is connected to the following information. One of our respondents has advised us that it is CONFIRMED that three members of what she termed the "Hall of Records Search team" were on board Fl. 990 also. "The accident side has come up empty-handed so far, "the source said. "However, the other side has been pursuing some very interesting leads that this aircraft was in danger." Information unearthed in the wake of the Oct. 31 crash indicated that at least one member of the flight crew had reason to believe that "something was going to happen to the airplane," the source added. National Transportation Safety Board officials leading the investigation stress that they have not ruled out any possible cause for the crash that killed 217 people. "We are looking at the entire crew . . . looking at the passengers . . . all aspects of what could be involved in this. That includes financial problems and personal situations of those on board," said a law enforcement source. "There is not a single thing to indicate a blast or criminal activity. We are looking at various scenarios involving people in the cockpit." But investigators discovered that one member of the flight crew was so concerned something might happen to the plane that the crew member left money and a message for another crew member's family, the first source said. One of the flight attendants, Hassan Sherif, 26, called his wife Rania from New York just before he boarded the flight, saying "there was something wrong with the plane," and that he was "very worried." But it was unclear yesterday which crew members investigators might be focusing on. There were a total of 18 EgyptAir employees - 14 of whom were listed as crew members - on board the doomed jet. In addition to Capt. Ahmed al Habashy, who commanded the flight, there was another captain and two flight officers listed as crew members. A third captain and three flight officers were listed as non-fare passengers. It is unclear who was serving as co-pilot or why an unusually large number of officers were listed as crew members. Ten flight attendants were also on board. The flight data recorder, recovered late Tuesday, gave no indication that the Boeing 767 had mechanical problems. In fact, the data that was released Wednesday shows the aircraft was flying normally at a cruising altitude of 33,000 feet until the autopilot was disengaged. The plane then began a "controlled descent" to 19,000 feet at subsonic speed, NTSB Chairman James Hall said. Hall's comments about the plane's descent suggested that someone at the controls deliberately headed the aircraft downward. Aviation experts say the information could suggest that pilots may have been responding to an onboard emergency such as rapid decompression by trying to lose altitude rapidly. Earlier radar information suggested the aircraft was diving at a rate of more than 24,000 feet per minute. No other details from the flight data recorder's readings have been released, and officals said they were "still in the process of recovering data from the remaining five to 10 seconds." The NTSB said last week that radar data showed the plane dropped rapidly to 16,700 feet before quickly climbing back up to 24,000 feet, then plummeting into the ocean. All 217 people on board are presumed dead. The cockpit voice recorder is considered critical to the investigation, sources said. Only with the conversation between pilots and other noises can investigators tell what was going on in the cockpit. The search for that second "black box" was called off yesterday because of high seas, but salvage workers hope to resume the hunt for the crucial recorder in the waters off Nantucket today . "Right now it is a routine flight, they disengaged the autopilot, started a controlled dive and fell into the ocean," said one source. "We really hope the voice recorder will cast light on it." Officials have refused to speculate about whether the crash may have been caused by terrorism, mechanical problems or human error. Sherif was one of two flight attendants on the plane who were best friends who had just registered their marriages to a pair of sisters in Egypt but had not yet formally wed. The registering of a marriage in Egypt customarily takes place in advance of the wedding. The flight's lead pilot, Ahmed al Habashy, and flight officer, Gameel al Battouti, were both within months of retirement, news reports indicate. Capt. Hatem Roushdy, chief pilot of EgyptAir's fleet of 767s, was on board as a non-fare passenger. News accounts shortly after the disaster indicate that flight officer Adel Anwar, who was listed as a crew member, was due to be married in a matter of days, but suggest those plans were on track and that Anwar and his fiancee were eagerly preparing for the wedding. Anwar had reportedly changed shifts with another pilot to get home sooner. Meanwhile, his bride-to-be had quit her job at a travel agency on the day of the ill-fated flight in order to become a homemaker, and was reportedly packing her bags for the honeymoon and decorating the apartment they would share, according to Anwar's brother Tarek, who spoke to reporters at the airport in Cairo. Officials have said that Navy crews have a location they are looking for the voice recorder but it is under a substantial amount of debris. A Collapse - vis-�-vis - A Vehicle Bomb Using two Associated Press articles that were published adjacent to each other this morning (Friday, November 12, 1999) in my regional newspaper-of-record ("The Scranton (PA) Tribune" on page C-10, lower-left) - should be sufficient to vividly illustrate the obvious difference between a collapse and a vehicle bomb. What facts had been printed in the newspaper differs slightly from the Associated Press' posted reports found and downloaded off of CompuServe's AP site � but not enough to question the thrust of my serious argument. For example, the newspaper article claims the collapsed building in Italy had six stories � whereas, the electronically posted article immediately claims it was a five-story apartment building. However, to anyone who is familiar with the way Europeans count floors would understand � and make allowance for such a serious discrepancy in their reports. The collapse reduced the apartment building, which was in a working class suburb, to a pile of rubble no more than one story high. Ambulances and emergency personnel swarmed around the site of the tragedy, searching for anyone still alive. Within hours, President Andres Pastrana defiantly signed extradition orders for three suspected drug traffickers. The shrapnel-packed bomb, placed in a red Mazda sedan and believed detonated by remote control, destroyed a two-story house and a restaurant on a wide avenue and blew out the windows of banks, stores and apartment buildings nearly a quarter mile away. "You get the feeling the wolf is raising its ears again," said Miguel Maza, a former head of the state security agency. Maza headed the agency in 1989, when a bomb placed by traffickers leveled its headquarters, killing 80 employees in the single most devastating attack of the era. Justice Minister Romulo Gonzalez said it was still too early to blame "narcoterrorism" for the 10:15 a.m. blast -- which sent shards of metal and glass in all directions. Six people died on the scene, two others at hospitals, and 14 people were hospitalized in serious condition, said city health official Dr. Adriana Ortegon. END ------------------ Interpretation: When a multi-story building experiences a traumatic structural failure, it will likely collapse in upon itself and into a pile of rubble � "about 15 feet high" - as was cited in the printed version of the Italian event. Such a condition was also clearly in evidence in the Oklahoma City case. Of course, different structures that are prone to collapse would surely be expected to have their unique peculiarities - but if they are prone to, eventually � they likely will. On the other hand � as evidenced in the Colombian car-bombing incident - even a small amount of explosives (150 lbs.) placed inside of a small Mazda sedan will blow out a 3-foot deep crater into the pavement at ground-zero. Its detonation would also be expected to do a whole lot of collateral damage within its immediate vicinity. Remember, we are dealing here with what actually happened to The Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, OK - specifically, what the government had adamantly insisted happened. One does not have to be a demolitions expert to visualize and appreciate what manner of extensive damage would have had to been done if an explosives device was ever actually detonated outside of The Murrah Federal Building. After all, if 150 lbs. of explosives placed inside of a small Mazda sedan could blow a 3-foot deep crater - �Can you imagine what size crater would have been blown if one of Ryder's largest trucks in its fleet was crammed with tons of explosives and detonated on the street outside The Murrah Federal Building? A three-foot deep crater would have obstructed the emergency personnel's ready access to the disaster site in OKC � and there was absolutely no evidence to support the existence of any crater � a prerequisite to denote the use of such an explosive device. Wherefore, given the total absents of such critical foundational evidence in the first instance - the American government's absurd criminal case against our three US Army veterans was a sham from day-one � and an outright insult to our intelligence. I'm truly sorry � and yes, embarrassed, that it had taken me so long to have reached the sound conclusion - which simply states that this building in OKC evidently had an inherent and critical structural fault/s, which ultimately resulted in its collapse. My only excuse for taking so long in figuring this case out has been those persistence claims of this incident having been some manner of a deliberate act. However, the only deliberate act we have obviously been dealing with in this instance centers on those being carried out under the color and auspices of authority - as was required in order to have maintained their (authorities') initial official sham assessment to cover their sorry butts. In essence, by allowing such conspiratorial claims to circulate freely � and thereby take hold, had greatly contributed toward the intent of the government - which evidently has been to quash the fact that this building had simply collapsed, and none of "their people" were about to accept any level of responsibility. Such conspiratorial beliefs are very difficult to overcome - for an assortment of psychological reasons, far too numerous and complicated for me to dare begin addressing, herein. This would also include the rhyme and reason for the government's implementation of what is often called "the big lie effect". Now - you can believe your government's absurd official account of a vehicle bomb � or, believe any of the conspiracy theories that abound. Or, you can simply make your own educated judgment by taking a good and discerning look at the timely condition of The Murrah Federal Building and its immediate surroundings, as evidenced in the abundant videos and photos taken that memorable morning in Oklahoma City. If you can find an awesome crater blown out in front of the building dug approx. 30-feet deep, you can immediately dismiss my argument. If you can find one approx. 3-feet deep, you might be able to legitimately argue that there was some type of an explosive device detonated upon that spot. However, if you cannot find a trace of anything denoting an explosive charge had been detonated - which I'm adamantly claiming you will not, then you can surely conclude that our government had conspired to hoodwinked you. To ignore this matter - you have either become too apathetic � or frightened, to respond to their insulting your intelligence. If you're an accredited journalist - and somewhat tempted to take on this challenge, you will likely lose you job and become blacklisted soon after making your intent known. However, eventually someone will break this lingering, outrageous story wide open, and quickly be credited with the coup. It's now sort of a "go for broke" type situation. Finally: It's extremely difficult for me to fathom just how dumbed down the Americans have become - but not too difficult to predict what they might do when they eventually awaken en masse. As their behavior would be at random - it would be virtually impossible to predict the ugly dynamics.
